F.A.Q.

Q: The application crashes when I try to edit My Ride. What gives?
A: This seems to exclusively be an issue with jailbroken phones. If you are not using a jailbroken phone and are experiencing this issue, please let us know. We do not officially support jailbroken devices, however we have been informed by some users that updating to the latest jailbroken software will correct the problem. Specifically, it seems that using Cydia to get the latest SQLite library will allow Dynolicious to work.
Q: Calibration gets stuck.
A: This issue was corrected in v1.1 of Dynolicious, now available from the App Store.
Q: Are metric units supported in Dynolicious?
A: Yes! Dynolicious v1.1 added support for metric units. Speeds can be reported in km/h, power in kW, and weight can be entered in kg.
Q: Will Dynolicious work on my iPod Touch or 1.1.4 iPhone?
A: Dynolicious will run with all features on iPhone (classic or 3G) or iPod Touch running 2.0 firmware.
Q: How can I delete test results or vehicles?
A: Swipe your finger across the entry in the list. The delete button will appear, allowing you to remove the entry.
Q: What is the best way to mount the iPhone when testing?
A: Mounting is a concern for accurate results. Unfortunately, mounting is very vehicle-dependent. On some cars, a cupholder is fine, as long as the iPhone is wedged pretty well and does not move around. For in-house testing, we have a cradle which mounts to the windshield with suction cups. This took a bit of custom work to set up, but does the job nicely. Any off-the-shelf cradle which fits the iPhone should work, as long as it holds the iPhone facing the front of the car, and does not bounce around.
Q: Where is the manual?
A: The full Dynolicious manual (PDF) may be downloaded here.

From the BunsenTech Team

Wow, it's been an amazing few days. The interest in Dynolicious since its introduction in the appstore on Tuesday has been overwhelming. It has been tremendous receiving so many compliments, comments and suggestions. We will respond to every email, but it may take a few days. We appreciate your patience during this exciting time.

One surprise to us has been the amount of variation between iPhones. This has caused difficulties for some users, as described in the FAQs below. We are actively working to address these issues, and expect to release an update very soon. Again, your patience is appreciated.

Thanks for being part of the Dynolicious community!
